The Maureen and Mike Mansfield Center

Philip West, Director

Honoring the life, work, and wishes of Mike Mansfield, the Maureen and Mike Mansfield Center supports the study of Asian peoples and cultures and in particular of American-Asian relations. The Center is an academic unit within The University of Montana and enjoys core funding from an endowment managed by the Maureen and Mike Mansfield Foundation. With a focus on East Asian histories and cultures, the Mansfield Center faculty offer classroom instruction, conduct research, and organize conferences, dialogues, and retreats related to the mission of the Center. The Center faculty collaborate with the University's Asian Studies program, comprised of thirty-two faculty.
