| Health Sciences Health science courses are concerned with fundamental issues in human health and disease and are, therefore, interdisciplinary in both scope and content. They have been designed not only for students anticipating careers in medicine, dentistry, nursing, pharmacy, medical technology, physical therapy, cytotechnology, and numerous other health care professions and services, but for all students interested in individual and community health, the clinical and paramedical arts, and the biomedical sciences. UG 440E Health Care and Public Policy 3 cr. Offered autumn even-numbered years. Prereq., lower-division course in Perspective 5 or consent of instr. or honors student. A multi-disciplinary examination of various economic, moral, legal, social and ethical concerns of importance in the formulation and implementation of public policy concerning health care and the health care system of the United States.
