Welcome to Project Ponderosa

The University of Montana has developed the Ponderosa Template to improve consistency for web visitors while empowering content creators.  The design highlights the site content and allows bold visuals to set the tone of each website. We have taken an iterative approach for development and roll-out, helping to ensure users will have regular access to new tools and features.  Find out what Project Ponderosa has to offer.

New Video Training Series Released

We're pleased to announce the launch of our Cascade Training video series which covers everything you need to get your UM site up and running.  The entire playlist takes about 30 minutes to watch, but is broken down into segments so you can skip around as needed.  We hope to expand upon this series throughout the semester to include training for more advanced topics.  If you have any feedback or suggestions, please let us know.

Why videos as opposed to an in-person training?

Previously, we offered a group web training once a month, but we acknowledge that this system was inflexible for some people in need of training and it put strain on web team resources to accommodate scheduling and overbooking. In order to better serve you, as well as adjust for reduction of web team staff as a result of the Voluntary Severance Offers, we have moved to a video-based training alternative which are available to you 24/7.

We hope that these videos will prove to be a valuable resource for you, and if you have any feedback please let us know. Remember we are still here to answer any questions you have, and offer help where we can. You can contact us with questions at 406-243-4361 or webhelp@mso.umt.edu.
